Carl, that’s so specific that you can actually measure it. Way to go! I think we should talk about building a no or low-cost team so you can ramp up quickly.

    xo,
    Libby

First an update on February since I couldn’t be on the call tonight – I joined the February Fitness challenge and have really done well. I am down 7 lbs and am so happy that I have been able to stick to working out and eating healthy. I drink 8 glasses of water a day, eat 8 servings of fruit and veggies and walk 4 miles. February may be almost over, but this is just the beginning :)

    on to March ….

    My milesstone for March

Read 3 Books – I hear about great business/ marketing books and purchase them intending to read them, but never seem to find the time. So for March, I am going to commit to spending some time developing me.

    Game Changers –

Limit TV time to 1 hour per evening weekdays
Limit computer time while watching TV to same hour
Write a short review of each book and post it (not sure where yet)

  10. Carl N says:

    Libby,
I’m liking the idea about co joining an hour of service for a food bank donation. My question is whether this should go into a mod on the remaining sales letters or into a new postcard? And would you review this ifn I do it?? Thanks

  11. Libby says:

Hey Carl, Of course I’ll look at it. I think you should include the food bank (or other local cause) in the letters and, if you can swing the cost, do the postcards half with and half without so you can test the response. Test, test, test!

Completed one blog post. Would you all please check it out and leave your comments. http://www.TheMindTechnicianBlog.com

  17. Libby says:

Flo, Your blog post is lovely. Amazing how you were able to take the very sad story of the killer whale and make it parable for change. Well done!

  18. Flo says:

Thanks, Libby. Sam Horn’s suggestion to use current events to keep our writing interesting serves as an excellent template for writing articles like blog posts.

  19. Libby says:

    It totally works! xo

  20. bphillips says:

    Hi Flo,
I read your blog post and wanted to give you my thoughts.
I loved your message and the fact that you tied it to something current in the news. I am not sure that using as your analogy a tragic situation is a great idea, however. I had trouble with that – my thoughts went to the tragedy of the young trainer who was killed and I felt your message got somewhat lost and may have lacked the punch you were aiming for. Hope this is helpful.

  21. bphillips says:

    Hey Libby,
Love your get in shape game changers – particularly the limit of 1 glass of wine per night :)

  22. Libby says:

Thanks, Belinda. Also portion control, a tough one for me since I can eat like a horse!

  23. ahorejsi says:

    Its time to get serious…….
    1. Cardio every day for at least 30 minutes.
    2. Core work with Bender Ball every day for at least 15 minutes
    3. Limit carbs – fruit, beans, sweet potatoes

    5. Count calories – limit to 1200/day
    6. Drink 8 glasses of water each day
    7. Weigh daily

  25. Libby says:

Hey Belinda, maybe we should do a daily check-in. I’m with you on this, except I have a different exercise routine. Let’s discuss on the call!

  26. cshields says:

Personal Milestone for March: Identify the trigger(s) to negative habit: (over-eating for this month’s purpose)
    1. Invest in and read “Traveling Hopefully” by Libby.
    2. Ask myself: “What purpose will this really be serving?” when I intend to eat
    3. If it’s for any other purpose than sustenance, recognize and document it

  27. cshields says:

I purchased Traveling Hopefully right after the call Wednesday night. It should arrive tomorrow. (Very excited to start it) I also purchased a Gazelle by Tony Little and using it daily. Thank you for not letting my change my personal milestone to something else like I wanted to. **Keeping me accountable is keeping me committed~ I love this group! You are ALL awesome! :)

    • libby says:

I’m glad we’re keeping you accountable. You deserve to have the life you want to live. You’ll like our next speaker. She is very cool! And please let me know if Traveling Hopefully is helpful. You will now know a ton about me – the good, the bad and the uuuugly. xo

  28. bphillips says:

    Project Bathing Suit accountability
I have done a great job on the eating right part. The exercise part – well…. I have done cardio and core work every other day rather than every day for the past week. I need to do it every day so here’s to reaffirming my commitment.

  29. jvizi says:

    My March Milestones:
    Personal:
    1. I will identify graphic evidence about the effects of smoking, once a week.
    2. I will search for heartbreaking stories of people losing family members due to smoking, once a week.

(Would someone please hold me accountable for this?)

    Business:
    1. I will have my business receipts filed by April 1, 2010.

    Game Changer:
    1. Have my paperwork in order to file taxes by 4/1/2010.

    • libby says:

What happened there, Joe? You trailed off… You need some help finding horrendous stuff about smoking. Can any Club members help with this one? WE WANT TO HELP YOU STOP SMOKING!

  30. libby says:

Okay, gang. You know I’m hardly an athlete but I really want to tone up (see Belinda’s Project Bathing Suit above). So I joined the Y and took 2 Zumba classes and 1 Nia class this week. Planning on Pilates and kickboxing later this week. I totally believe (as does Freeman Michaels, our last speaker) that you’ve got to make exercise fun!
